Aerin is one of the rising stars of our guild, bashing Destro skulls wherever he comes with his massive greatsword. Clearly, skull-bashing is in his blood as he hails from Denmark and some Viking genes still dwell in his blood. We're glad to have him onboard and cover our backs! What is your real name?Michael Dalager Jensen, the middle name apparently unpronounceable by the British without leading their thought to the pub and strong beer. Tell us a bit about yourself...Well, I’m a 25, soon to be 26, (young?) male from the wonderful country of Denmark. Currently I am busy with my university studies, majoring in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, hopefully starting my Master thesis this summer. I live with my fiancée who is blissfully uninterested in anything online-ish, and we currently have no plans of extending the family...well i don’t that is, two cats got to be enough for now. Where do you live?I live in the suburbs of Odense, which is one of Denmark’s largest cities, which...probably only amounts to a small village in other countries, but oh well. What are your other hobbies?Aside from my studies, yes I actually do enjoy my studies however much i damn the exams, I spend my time socialising a lot with other people. I have spent some time playing role-playing games with some friends, and also spent quite a lot of time with the same friend group playing a wide variety of board games. For the past 10 or so years I have played tabletop Warhammer fantasy, no surprise perhaps that my army is High Elves. I would have loved to claim it to be an all painted, army of doom and gloom, sadly its neither, only a small fraction of it is painted, and I really really do suck at the table top tactics. What do you think about the Lost Guard of Tor Anroc?Being a bit of a Warhammer geek i have followed the news of Warhammer online ever since news were actually available. I wasn’t looking for a guild when I, far prior to launch, found myself browsing the Lost Guard of Tor Anroc website, the idea of a single race guild and the very active community, quickly persuaded me though. Being in the guild, I can only says it’s great, a very friendly and mature community, where people can play the game at their pace and enjoy every facet of both PvE and PvP. What is your position within the guild and what class do you play?I’m a warrior in the Old World chapter (EU) of The Lost Guard of Tor Anroc, and I play a Swordmaster. Do you play any alts?I actually play quite a few alts, I like to explore the capabilities of other classes so i know what they can and cannot do. Also I play alts because i need a break from the up-front action of my Swordmaster every now and then, hence why the most played of my alts is my Bright Wizard Posora. The Bright Wizard provides a completely different game compared to my Swordmaster, in that I now have to work a lot of keeping distance, that and I really do dish out a lot more damage. What are the three best things you like about the game?01Dependence/independence: yeah i know, it may seem like i lost it there with the whole conflicting issue. But what i really mean to say is, the game centres around a massive war with “the other side” and them being able to deal vital and devastating blows to your side. This provides a need for everyone to work together towards the common goal, YET with the possibility of open groups and warbands I as a player am able to choose when and how long I want to be part of any given group. 02Social interaction: the game is no fun if you play it alone, so not surprisingly one of the assets I love the most about the game is the guilds and groups. Playing in a good guild makes a huge difference of the games lifetime, and being able to find people you play well with and group with them easily is equally important. 03RvR: now I wouldn’t be right in my head if i didn’t make note of this central part of the game, even though I may not be as fanatical about the RvR scene as so many others, i still really really do love sacking that enemy keep and dealing a slight set-back to their progress. What would you like to achieve with this guild?I don’t believe that I as an individual can achieve anything with the guild, that’s a common goal, what I would love for the guild to become is, a guild that shows that even though the major incitement for the guild is to have fun, we can still achieve great things. I would like the guild to provide the members some of the best online moments and a guild that will be remembered for some of the more social, helpful and fun people on the server. Amazingly I really do believe we are getting there already but that is of course for others to judge. Any departing thoughts?Ispent far too much of my life thinking, don’t think I can manage any more, ah oh well, one last though then: Play the game your way, and enjoy i partt. | ![]() |
